Ben is Founder and Creative Director of Bengar, overseeing creative direction across all advertising, film, entertainment and digital media projects at The Bengar Agency and Bengar Films.

He is a writer and director of commercials, documentaries and entertainment for some of the world’s most trusted brands and member of the Australian Directors Guild.

In Australia, Ben’s work has a foundation with marquee clients such as National Australia Bank, Ferrari, Coles, Telstra and Australia Post. He has also created campaigns for international advertising agencies, including Y&R Shanghai for Sony, Wellcom Korea for Hana Bank and Lowe HCMC for Unilever.

Ben's creative direction is human, genuine and authentic, often choosing to work with real people rather than actors. It is this fine metering, which has made him a specialist in storytelling with an unscripted voice. With a “show, don’t tell" approach, the Bengar team have become a leading authority for brands to connect with audiences with a more genuine tone.

Recently Ben was awarded with more than ten international film, television and advertising awards for his work, including a Gold Hugo, the top prize at the Chicago International Film Festival's Intercom Awards, the Gold Midas in New York and twice a finalist for Best Director at the New York Festivals Film & TV Awards.

In 2014, Ben was selected for the Grand Jury of the New York Festivals Film and TV Awards and Midas Awards in New York.
